Friends of Christ Church
Our aim is to face up to the reality that unless repairs are made, Christ Church as a building, will become unusable and unsafe. The fact is that, without work, it will disappear. The urgent repairs needed include attention to the spire, roof, walls, masonry, windows and drainage.
We have already raised £.5 million through our appeal - aptly named the 'Skyline Appeal' - in order to restore and preserve Christ Church and expand its work in the town.
The Revd Simon Stevenette says, 'The building has helped many over the years, now it's time for the many to help the building, not to create a museum, but to secure and expand the base of our support to the people of Swindon. Put simply, this is about Swindon's future.'
So this appeal asks for your help. We seek sponsors, supporters and givers, givers not just of money, but of time and energy, of commitment, who have a shared belief that there is much we can give to our town.
Be inspired. This appeal is about Swindon, for Swindon, by Swindonians. We ask for your support.
